What a difference a day makes...as I sat in my office doing some paper work yesterday, I watched the rain "falling" sideways in sheets across the Standard run...not something I enjoy doing in December. Today the temperature was mild, but there was not a drop of rain to be found here at Brimacombe. It was a solid day on the slopes.
We welcomed back the Brimacombe Racing Club today, their Christmas camp kicked off and the skiers looked to be in fine form. We wish you all the best of luck and know that you will make Brimacombe proud whether you may travel!
Even though the rain created an extra challenge for the Park staff...Stephan and his crew were able to pull off a miracle and get the Main park open today. The absence of the half pipe opened up a great deal of space for a better jump line and more space for features. The dance floors are in and are already proving to be a great addition to the large selection of jibs, rails and jumps.
Don't forget, access to this park requires a park pass, Brimacombe Park Passes are available by working through our program on the terrain park page of our website, or for those without high speed Internet access, by asking for the Park pass package at our Main Administration Office in the East Chalet. Park passes are $10 for the season. No park pass is required to access our Beginner Park (entrance off of Park Ave/Pete's elbow)
Don't forget that we ARE open every DAY this week including tomorrow...Monday December 28, 2009 from 9am to 4:30pm. We will also open for night skiing this week on Wednesday Dec. 30, 2009 and Saturday Jan. 2, 2009 from 4:30pm to 10pm.
Wishing you all the best this Holiday season and in the New Year ahead,
Cheers,
Mark
