NEW SNOW!!!!!!! and lots of it.

Got Snow?!? We do! From early morning to late afternoon the snow fell steadily from the sky leaving us with 8 to 10 inches of natures best, POWDER! Though driving was a little tough this morning, once our members and guests hit the slopes their smiles grew wide and everyone had a great time making tracks.

Here are some shots taken at the Brim today...

At first I thought I was seeing multiples....a race team practices at the Brim.

"Surfing" the powder into the Bowl.

Our picturesque West Chalet nestled in the valley.

Today's dump of snow added nicely to our mogul field in the top half of Rutherford's Cut

Skiing the bumps

Knee deep moguls, covered in fresh snow = FUN

A MONDAY at the Brim

What are we doing today at the Brim? Here's a picture taken mid day of our Standard run, a similar scene can be found on other trails like the Bowl. It's nice and cold, and a perfect day to make snow on our main trails.

Keep an eye on our Website and calendar for information on upcoming events, the season is young and there is TONS of fun ahead!

What a FANTASTIC weekend at the BRIM! Great weather, great conditions, and great times sum up this weekend at Brimacombe. Our lesson and Pee Wee camp programs kicked off bringing many happy young faces to the slopes, some for the first time ever!

Rutherford's Cut opened today following Saturday's opening of Flyer. We are currently making snow on the Challenger, Whistler, Richard's Landing and the lower half of the Tower run and hope to see them open in the near future.

BIG weekend ahead!

The FRESH snow that fell last night made for excellent conditions on the slopes today! Load up your gear, there is still plenty of time to get some night skiing in tonight (Jan 7) We are open until 10pm.

We have been hard at work making tons of new snow this week, Park Avenue will reopen tomorrow morning, and we will also add the FLYER to the list of OPEN runs. Kid's Stuff and the Cow path will also be OPEN this weekend. The guns have also been running on Rutherford's Cut and we should see it open in the near future.

It's a BIG weekend ahead, our 7 week programs ramp up and the Pee Wee Ski Camp kicks off for another season. If you or your children are enrolled in either of these programs, please plan to arrive 15-20mins early to ensure you can get parked, get your gear on, and find your class or camp group meeting place. For those of you enrolled in the Pee Wee Ski Camp, please enter the property via Gate #1, Brimacombe Snow School lesson participants should enter via Gate #4.

It's been another day is paradise, see you soon at the Brim,

The RETURN of WINTER.

After a dreary day yesterday, we awoke to the return of WINTER. While areas that had been previously covered with only natural snow took a beating (Park Avenue and the T-bar tow paths) the rest of our open terrain groomed up nicely and by all accounts the ski conditions are great.

Here's a couple of pictures...(not a complete display of open runs, all open terrain is in good condition)

We welcome the Canadian Association of Disabled Skiers -Durham chapter back to the slopes of Brimacombe for another season.

Our REGULAR SEASON OPERATIONAL HOURS BEGIN TODAY! But, as an ADDED bonus we will be OPEN TOMORROW -MONDAY JAN 3, 2011- from 9am to 4:30pm....Are your kid's still on school break? treat them to a day at the Brim!
