BIG SUN ~ BIG AIR

What an AWESOME day at the Brim! The conditions were great and the sun was shining brightly...spring skiing at it's finest!


We still have LOADS of snow left on the slopes and the days in the season are winding down so don't miss out, join us tomorrow for some "down" time.

On March 23, 26 & 27, Brimacombe will operate the Standard Chair, Magic Carpet and Bowl Chair only. No trails west of Flyer will be open.

* All night passes will be accepted on the evening of Wednesday, March 23.

Immediately following the Puddle Jump we are proud to announce a FREE CONCERT featuring local rising stars ELEVEN PAST ONE!


The rock-pop band from Bowmanville, Ont., formed in early 2007. Brothers Daniel Richter, Stephen Richter, and Joey Richter, along with Steve Patenaude and Nathan Meima, have performed in Canada and toured throughout the United States performing their debut album, The Ultimate Catch.

Join us as we say good-bye to another FANTASTIC season at the Brim.

Things You Need to Know:

• All night passes will be accepted on the evening of Wednesday, March 23.

• All dates are, of course, weather dependent.

MARCH BREAK = GREAT TIMES AT THE BRIM

Winter is STILL ALIVE AT THE BRIM! The sun shone down on us today, and the skiers and boarders soaked it up! Here are a few pictures from today,

The Run Down

 Registration and Sign-in starts at 9:00 day of the comp
 Registration and Sign-in ends at 11:00 day of the comp
 Mandatory Riders Meeting @ 11:15 in the Park at the Big Air Setup
 Comp starts at 11:30
 1 and half hour jam session
 Finals will begin at 1:30

Comp Format

 One and half hour Jam Session (controlled drop-ins)
 Riders will be scored on the tricks they can throw down, biggest tricks stomped puts you in the finals
 Skier 10-15 years old and Skier 16 and over categories and snowboard 10-15 years and 16 and over categories
 Awards for top three finishers and overall best trick
 MAIN TERRAIN PARK will be will be CLOSED for competition.
 Brimacombe Park Pass and Comp pass/lift ticket or membership are required

Riders must be 10 years or older


HELMETS MANDATORY, NO INVERTED MANEUVERS


$15 Early Bird registration fee, paid in person before day of event at Main Office East Chalet.

$20 day of event registration

$20 Comp pass lift ticket, gives access to Standard lift during event hours only.

We woke up to FRESH SNOW at the Brim this morning! That's right, you may not have it where you live, but we have LOADS of snow out here at Brimacombe. There is still ample time to add more vertical to your skiometer this season.

BRIMACOMBE'S ANNUAL PUDDLE JUMP!

SUNDAY MARCH 27, 2011 at 11AM

Join us as we say Good bye to another season at Brimacombe and Hello to SPRING! This event is open to everyone, free of charge and is TONS of fun. Brave the chilly waters of the 80' long man-made "Lake Brimacombe" or hang out "Beach side" and watch the action. Beach attire is strongly recommended (So is a change of clothes!)
~Non-members are required to sign a Special Events Waiver (found under LINKS at http://www.brimacombe.ca/ or at the Main office on the day of the event. Those under 18 years of age require a parent or legal guardians signature).
~Membership or Lift tickets required
~HELMETS MANDATORY!
~Register the day of the event in the East Chalet any time before 11am. All participants will be issued a wrist band, wrist band must be worn visibly during event.

THE SKIING IS GREAT!

All day I have heard a similar line repeated by those out on the slopes of Brimacombe....The skiing is great!

The past few days have been interesting weather wise. Periods of heavy rain, followed by periods of heavy snow. Believe it or not, the snow won the battle! We have more than ample base depth to carry us through to the end of the season which is set for March 27th 2011 (Weather permitting of course!).

These pictures were taken mid afternoon today (March 12, 2011) as more new snow fell from the skies.

STILL SNOW!

Yes, we still have TONS of snow out here at the Brim! Rain has less effect on our slopes than most people think. Here are a few shots from yesterday (March 8th 2011) to prove it.
